 My Instrument 


My main instrument is sitar. I play it with great passion. My favorite sitar player is Anushka Sanker. My only hope is to be a performer like her one day. if explain about the sitar. Sitar stringed instrument of the lute family that is popular in North India, Pakistan and Bangladesh. Typically measuring about 1.2 metres in length, the sitar has a deep pear- shaped gourd body; a long, wide, hollow wooden neck ,both front and side tuning pegs; and 20 arched movable frets. Its stings are metal; there are usually five melody strings, one or two drone strings used to accentuate the rhythm or pulse and as many as 13 sympathetic stings beneath the frets in the neck that are tuned to the notes of the raga. The convex metal frets are tied along the neck, which enables them to be moved as needed.


The sitar often has a resonating gourd under the pegbox end of the neck; this balance the weight of the instrument and helps support it wen it is not being played. Musicians hold the sitar at a 45o angle on there laps while seated. They pluck the strings with a wire plectrum worn on the right forefinger while the left hand manipulates the strings with subtle pressure on or between the frets and with sideways pulls of the strings.

  Trincomalee Navy Camp And Museum   Trincomalee Navy cam is one of the most beautiful and attractive place. I have ever visited. It is the place that I will always remember. The last british occupant of the building was Vice admiral Hilary Biggs. On 15th October 1957 the Trincomalee naval dockyard was officially handed over by the royal navy to Sri Lankan government and since the property been a possession of the Sri Lanka Navy. MUSEUM  A museum like I have never seen before. It is very impressive. Besides having rich treasure of artifacts and antiques nature has  endowed the naval museum with enchanting scenic beauty too. The collecting consists of maps, bots, rafts, and Arms and ammunition of inestimabe historic value representing cannons, Machine guns, Rifle and Tommy guns, Guns of Royal artillery  medical intes ect.

Temple Of The Tooth

  Temple Of The Tooth  Dalada Maligawa is one of the place where I like to walk freely. The temple of the tooth is world Heritage site mainly due to the temple and the relic. It has a long history becous of the two particular chapters the Malwathu chapters and Asgiri chapters. conduct daily worship in the inner chamber of the temple Rituals are performed three times daily. At dawn, at non and evenings.  On Wednesday there is  symbolic bathing of the relic with a herbal preparation made from scented water and fragrant flowers called Nanumura Mangallya. This holy water is believed to contain healing powers and is distributed to those present. I also have strong faith in that I also have strong faith in that I think it's a must go station for every person.
